Stadium Overview

Cleveland Municipal Stadium opened in 1931 and was one of the largest stadiums in the world at the time, seating more than 70,000 fans. The stadium hosted the Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns, and countless major events including World Series games, NFL championships, concerts, and political rallies. Its massive size created a unique atmosphere but also led to challenges with maintenance and fan experience.
