Stadium Overview
League Park opened in 1891 and is one of the most historically significant baseball stadiums in the United States. The park hosted the Cleveland Spiders, Cleveland Naps, and Cleveland Indians, including the 1920 World Series. It was known for its unusual dimensions, including a famously short right field porch. Although most of the stadium was demolished in the 1950s, the original ticket house and portions of the grandstand wall remain. The site was restored in the 2010s and now serves as a museum and community baseball field. League Park remains a cherished landmark in Cleveland sports history.
