Track Overview

Eldora Speedway was founded in 1954 by Earl Baltes, who transformed a small local track into one of the most famous dirt ovals in the world. The track’s high banked half mile layout produces fast, dramatic racing that attracts top drivers from across the country. Eldora is home to legendary events such as the World 100, Kings Royal, and Dirt Late Model Dream, each drawing massive crowds and national attention. In 2004, NASCAR champion Tony Stewart purchased the track and invested heavily in modernizing the facility while preserving its historic character. Eldora’s combination of tradition, speed, and spectacle makes it a crown jewel of American dirt racing.
