Track Overview
Summit Motorsports Park began operations in 1963 and has grown into one of the premier drag racing facilities in the Midwest, known for its exceptional track preparation and fan friendly environment. The Bader family purchased the track in 1974 and transformed it into a nationally recognized venue through continuous improvements and innovative event promotion. The facility underwent a major renovation in 2007 that included resurfacing, expanded seating, and upgraded lighting systems. Summit Motorsports Park is famous for its Night Under Fire event, which features jet cars, fireworks, and high horsepower machines that draw massive crowds. The track has hosted NHRA national events and remains a cornerstone of American drag racing.
