Track Overview

Atomic Speedway opened in 1953 under the name K-C Raceway and quickly became known for its high banks and fast racing surface that challenged even the most experienced drivers. The track has hosted major touring series including the World of Outlaws and Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series, bringing national attention to the facility. In 2013, the track was purchased and renamed Atomic Speedway, followed by significant renovations that improved lighting, pit areas, and spectator amenities. The facility’s steep banking and long straights create thrilling racing that draws fans from across the region. Many legendary drivers have competed here, adding to its long and respected history. The track continues to evolve with ongoing improvements that support high speed competition.
